There are several of you who may know Mr. Risner through his family heritage at the Lake of the Ozarks. He is a seventh generation resident at the Lake and his family has some interesting history here. It was at his great-grandfather Clyde Foster’s restaurant in old Linn Creek that Union Electric made the announcement to the locals that they were damming up the river and creating a hydro-electric plant creating the Lake of the Ozarks. His Grandfather Buford Foster was one of the pioneers to build a marina and campground here and promoted tourism of our lake area.

Mr. Risner is carrying on a legacy as a member of the board of education as he has had four family members who have also served. His Grandfather Jim Risner, Aunt Nickie Foster, Aunt Janny Drover, and Cousin John Blair.
