Communications

The Camdenton Schools Communications Team will focus on the culture of the district and work to connect with parents, students, and other community members by maintaining two-way, reliable, and representative communication. Utilizing a variety of media channels, the Communications Team will convey district news, events, and recognition in a timely, relevant, and accessible manner and will be collaborative with our patrons to build strong community-wide relationships.

For any media requests, please contact Kelsea Knight at (573) 346-9214.

  • Safety

Media members enter restricted athletic areas at their own risk. Sidelines and competition areas contain inherent risks from athletes, equipment, and game activity. Approved individuals are responsible for remaining alert and maintaining a safe distance from competition.

    Access

    Approved media must:

    • Enter through the designated entrance or check-in location.
    • Check in at the media tent to receive credentials.
    • Remain within designated media areas.
    • Follow directions from Camdenton R-III School District administrators, event staff, and game officials.
    • Remain behind designated lines, cones, barriers, or other boundaries at all times.
    • Keep clear of athletes, coaches, officials, and medical personnel.

    Prohibited Conduct

    Media may not:

    • Enter the team box, bench area, huddle or coaching area.
    • Enter locker rooms, training or taping areas, or other student-only spaces without specific authorization.
    • Address or distract players or coaches during competition.
    • Interfere with warmups, competition, or event operations.
    • Walk or position themselves between coaches or players and the playing surface.
    • Enter the field or playing surface unless specifically authorized.
    • Mic a coach without prior approval.
    • Mic a student without school personnel present.
    • Use equipment in a manner that creates a safety hazard or obstructs spectators, athletes, or other media.

    Credential Expectations

Media representatives are considered guests of the Camdenton R-III School District while in restricted areas. Inappropriate interaction with athletes, coaches, officials, spectators, or other media may result in immediate removal and loss of future credential privileges.

Possession of professional photography or video equipment does not, by itself, qualify an individual for media or restricted-area access.

Submission of a media access request does not guarantee approval. The Camdenton R-III School District reserves the right to limit or revoke access when necessary for safety, security, or event operations.
