Troy Risner joined the Camdenton board of education in June 2020. He is a native of the Lake of the Ozarks area and a Camdenton graduate. Mr. Risner has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and has 25 years’ experience is a Senior Engineer in a high-tech company called KLA Corporation out of Silicon Valley California. Mr. Risner helps design and support machines that make Integrated Semiconductors. He works remotely from Camdenton with an occasional trip to one of their customer sites worldwide. Mr. Risner is a world traveler and been to multiple countries throughout Europe and Asia.


Mr. Risner has served hundreds of hours of volunteer work in such programs as the Buddy Pack program, Project Graduation, the Education Foundation, and our Pride of the Lake Band programs to name a few. Also, since 2016, he has assisted the school as a Lead Auditorium Technician. Mr. Risner’s extensive electronics and problem-solving skills have provided cost savings to the school and also improved the experience of our school theaters. He will continue to volunteer his time for school events.


Mr. Risner and his wife Jennifer have five children. Three of them have graduated from Camdenton and on to college with two children still in High School as a junior and a senior. He has been very involved in every step of their education.


There are several of you who may know Mr. Risner through his family heritage at the Lake of the Ozarks. He is a seventh generation resident at the Lake and his family has some interesting history here. It was at his great-grandfather Clyde Foster’s restaurant in old Linn Creek that Union Electric made the announcement to the locals that they were damming up the river and creating a hydro-electric plant creating the Lake of the Ozarks. His Grandfather Buford Foster was one of the pioneers to build a marina and campground here and promoted tourism of our lake area.


Mr. Risner is carrying on a legacy as a member of the board of education as he has had four family members who have also served. His Grandfather Jim Risner, Aunt Nickie Foster, Aunt Janny Drover, and Cousin John Blair.

Callie Henze

Callie Henze joined the Board of Education in June 2020, to serve a three-year term. She was born and raised in Camdenton and is a Camdenton High School graduate. Mrs. Henze attended Lindenwood University where she majored in Mass Communications. In 2005, she realized her passion for Real Estate, which has led her to her career at Shore to Shore LOZ with eXp Realty. Having three children in the school district, Callie has been very involved in the classroom. Not only as a parent, but as a volunteer, as well as substitute teaching in the district. She is a strong advocate for parental rights and building relationships with teachers and staff is one of her top priorities.


Mrs. Henze is married to her husband Jonathan, who is retired from the United States Marine Corps. As a family they enjoy their time together fishing, riding bikes, and playing on the beach.

Courtney Hulett is currently serving his third term on the board of education. Mr. Hulett is a native of Camdenton and a proud graduate of Camdenton R-III School District. He received his degree in physical therapy from the University of Missouri, Columbia, in 1999 and returned to the Lake to work for Lake Regional Health Systems. As acting Director of Rehab for LRHS, he has been involved in budget development, personnel management, and commercial construction and design. He has also proudly served on the board of directors for Kids Harbor (a local child advocacy center) as a youth sports coach and is an active participant in numerous charitable events throughout the lake area.


Mr. Hulett has one Laker left in the district. Tatum is currently in fourth grade.


Mr. Hulett enjoys golfing, boating, and spending time with his family and friends.



Nancy Masterson is serving her 24th year on the Camdenton Board of Education. She has been active in the past on various strategic issues committees throughout her tenure on the Board.  Mrs. Masterson is on the Camdenton R-III School District Education Foundation Board of Directors, the not-for-profit organization founded in 2000 by the Board of Education to manage and facilitate funds to promote the betterment of Camdenton students and staff. She serves on the Foundation’s committees that awards annual Classroom Impact Grants to district teachers and awards Advanced Education Educator Scholarships to teachers working on their advanced degrees.


In June 2021 Nancy became President of the Missouri School Board Association. This opportunity has allows Nancy to be part of statewide discussions concerning public education, gain awareness of educational trends, meet with area legislators, and bring back information to our district in a timely manner. In June 2020, Nancy was elected to serve as the President-Elect of the Missouri School Boards’ Association. Like many of her colleagues on school boards, Nancy has attended many hours of MSBA special training sessions. She earned Master, Advanced and Distinguished Board Member Certification. Very few school board members across Missouri have achieved this distinction. She served on a statewide committee on the Early Childhood Education section of the Missouri Vision Project for Public Education.  During 2021-2022, Nancy will participate in the Missouri Education roundtable with other education leaders in our state.


Nancy is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Special Education. (Her husband John is also a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia.)  She taught at Jefferson Junior High in Columbia and retired from the position of Park Superintendent at Ha Ha Tonka State Park after working 42 years for Missouri State Parks. Along with her dedication to the Camdenton School District, Nancy also serves on the Board of Directors of the Lake of the Ozarks Developmental Center and the City of Camdenton Park Board and is a volunteer at Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach.


Nancy and her husband, John, have three graduates of Camdenton High School. Their education and opportunities while students at Camdenton have contributed to their success in life.  Jennifer Masterson Lindsay (‘98) graduated from Missouri State University, works as a Human Resource Manager and lives in O’Fallon, MO with her husband, Toby, a middle school teacher and coach along with their daughter Payton. Payton and Toby are avid golfers and compete in tournaments when they can.  Robert (‘02) graduated from Drury University and the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. U.S. Army Major Masterson current assignment is director of the two-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry Program at Fort Hood, Texas. He and his wife Jill, daughter Camryn and son Alexander moved to this location in July 2020. Laura (‘05) graduated from Drury University, received her Master’s Degree from Missouri State University, lives in Kansas City, MO and works in the Leavenworth Kansas School District where she is a Speech and Language Therapist.


Nancy is an avid reader and enjoys sewing, cooking, and being out-of-doors.  She is a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church.  Nancy and John enjoy traveling and spending time with family.



Eric Walters joined the Board of Education in April of 2019, to serve a three-year term. During his time as a board member, Eric has served on several committees including:

    • Teacher Advisory Committee Board Representative for three years
    • Camdenton R-III School District Education Foundation for two years
    • Board Finance Committee for two years 
    • Camdenton Classified Employees Association Board Representative for three years
    • Teacher Impact Grant and Blair Trust Scholarship committees

Through his experience on these committees and as a board member, Eric has learned so much about the amazing students, staff, parents, and community partners in this district. Eric has enjoyed opportunities to support and advocate for members of this district and is very thankful for this volunteer opportunity. Most importantly, Eric believes that students experience the best educational experience when they are supported by their local community and he always wants to be a part of that support system.


Eric is a proud Laker and chose Camdenton as the home for his family. Eric is married to Shayla who is the Operations Facilitator at Lake Career & Technical Center on the Camdenton R-III School District campus. Their oldest son Grant, is a 2021 graduate of Camdenton High School and now attends Drury University as a student and athlete. Their youngest son, Cyrus is in the second grade at Dogwood Elementary. 


Eric has volunteered for the Camdenton Wrestling Club for the last thirteen years, serving both as a coach and as president of the club. He has also served as a volunteer varsity wrestling coach at Camdenton High School for three years. As a kid who grew up always involved in extra-curricular activities, Eric has a passion for supporting young athletes and providing them with opportunities to succeed on and off the wrestling mats.


When Eric isn’t coaching, he loves to spend time with his family outdoors camping, hiking and fishing in any lake or river near the campsite.

Linda Leu

Linda Leu has been Secretary to the Superintendent of Camdenton R-III Schools since August 2009. She also serves as Secretary to the Board of Education and Acting Secretary for the Education Foundation. Previously Linda was Secretary to the Superintendent and the Board at the Shelby County R-IV School District for 19 years. Linda is a member of and past officer of the Camdenton Classified Employee's Association.


Linda is married to Gary and they have five children, fifteen grandchildren, and one dog Moxie.

Maile Huffman

Maile Huffman is a senior who has attended Camdenton Schools since kindergarten. She is involved in Speech and Debate, Theatre, is President of Student Council, and supervises Public Relations for National Honor Society. Maile is the daughter of Dave and Tiffhany Huffman and has three older siblings-Taylor, Kaitie, and David-whom are Camdenton alumni; as well as a younger sister, Kalia, who is entering fourth grade. In the future, Maile is interested in pursuing law and politics. 

Ayden Meckley - Student Advisor

Ayden Meckley is a proud member of the junior class who has attended Camdenton R-III School District since 2016. In addition to Camdenton High School, she also attends the Lake Career and Technical Center (LCTC) and she is pursuing her Industry Recognized Credential (IRC) in Certified Nursing. Ayden actively participates in numerous extracurricular activities including the Lady Laker Swim Team, Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA), Science Research, and National Honor Society (NHS).


Ayden is the daughter of MAJ (retired) Wayne P. Meckley and Stacey E. Meckley. Her sister, Irelyn Class of 2021, served the 2019-2020 term of Advisor to the Board of Education and has continually inspired her sister to pursue the position. In addition, she wishes to attend a four year university and complete a major in Pre-Medicine. Ayden is interested in representing the student population of Camdenton High School and LCTC to the best of her abilities.
